&lt;p&gt;For example, I'm initially setting up WSS 3.0 on a 32-bit server so I can have Adobe PDF searching, and whenever Adobe gets around to producing a 64-bit IFilter, I'd like to move up to 64-bit WSS 3.0. A tool like this might make such an endeavor easier.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think other people would find a server-to-server site moving tool quite useful, since there's lots of reasons why people might want to move SharePoint sites, etc.&lt;/p&gt;
