Since Sharepoint Services 3.0 are not affected I wonder if another workaround would be to upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 ?

For TFS 2008 i know that by uninstalling SPS 2.0 and installing SPS 3.0 does indeed work around the problem. I do not know what other impact this may have TFS 2008 as a whole.
