I know it's a widely discussed problem, but still...

The actions described above to create a custom activity resulted for me in the following:

1. the activity appeared in the list of the workflow designer

2. when I select it from the list, nothing happens, the sentence from the .actions files doesn't appear (nothing appeas in xoml code either)

I've checked the web.confi many times :)

What could it be?

Make sure that all class names in your .actions file are fully qualified and that the names have the correct casing.

Once all names in the actions file match, try deleting the SPD proxy assembly cache on your client and re-starting SPD.

I tried finding help for Sharepoint online, it is a nightmare. Most of the help phrases produce the wrong results and Microsoft is not helpful at all, you cannot even get the customary thirty day free support upon purchasing the product... What a ripoff.

Further I searched and found this post while looking for a way to create a Blog page that contains a comment area just as this page does. Can you tell me how to find that inside the program (Sharepoint Designer 2007) and also how to insert Captcha to stop getting machine gun SPAM?

Richard - sharepoint developers get paid a fortune to do what they do - because Sharepoint is a platform (a way of life really) don't be mad at microsoft because you don't immediatley know how to do something in one sitting on the googles - Being a good applications developer takes years and tons of trial and error - no matter what tool you decide to use.
