If you're in Minneapolis this evening, check out the Twin Cities XNA User Group.

If you're in Vancouver at the end of the month, check out the DevTeach conference. Yours truly will be talking about shaders, networking, and performance. There'll be singing, dancing, PowerPoint animations, possibly even a couple of jokes...

If you're on the Internet over the next not-precisely-defined-but-hopefully-short period of time, check out the Game Studio 2.0 beta, coming Real Soon Now to a Team Blog near you.

Hi Shawn, will the slides of the topics you will talk about -also demos/samples- be available for donwload somewhere after the conference?

I'm sure they will, but I don't know how useful they will be: I've written them very much as an adjunct for the talk, so I don't know how much sense they will make in standalone form!

For GameFest we had a requirement that the slide decks make sense in isolation (becuase lots of people read them on the web but don't go to the conference), which is useful in some ways, but also makes for kind of a boring deck if you just repeat all what you're going to talk about in bullet format.

When I have the option, I prefer to design the slide decks to accompany the talk, rather than just duplicate it...

Hi Shawn, will it be possible to have both 2.0 beta (to try the new features on PC) and 1.0 Refresh (to keep developing on x360) installed at the same time on the same computer?
