LOL. We were eating at a restaurant last night and I said to Rich (hubby) that the person who selected this music must be the exact same age as us. It was everything I listened to in college.

I feel your pain. I've hear too many of my '80s favs being mutated by musak.

It could be worse. I worked at a place that played Muzak in the background all day long. I recognized a Kiss power ballad ("Beth") that would cycle through every now and again.

Kiss. Muzak.

Hmm, I was thinking about Vonage. I'm currently a Qwest customer with comcast Internet in Bellevue. Why do you consider it the service from hell?

Vonage just isn't prime time yet. If you want to add their service as an experiment, they're probably ok. We found the service spotty, the codecs are average - a lot of echo, stuttering, etc..

The main reason we're leaving is their absolutely attrocious customer service. 30 minute hold times, and email support that doesn't return messages. I've been waiting over three weeks for them to release my phone number so I can transfer back to Qwest, and I'm having to get the FCC involved now.

VOIP is a great idea, and a technology that will be mainsream in 2 years, and the de facto vendor will NOT be Vonage.
