So you guys don't get beheaded for installing Firefox?

Do you know when IE is going to support transparent 24-bit png's? I heard your IE team is working on it. That's one nice thing about FF, but I'm stickin' with IE for now. Thanks.

Yeah, same problem with it here, definately doesn't play well with sharepoint.

I'm just a two browser guy: IE for work and FireFox for non-work.

I have full faith that in the long term the IE guys will nail all of the features that are keeping me on FireFox. Until then, I will keep giving them friendly reminders about tab browsing.

I posted it a while back when i was in, well lets just say college to make a long story short. havent tried it in here. it works by making a proxy on your machine and it connects to the real proxy and does the username and password stuff. i dont know, but would the ISA firewall client work? You will still have problems with logging in to sites that require NTML security, but it will hopefully be a feature in FireFox soon.

Good luck with IE and I really hope you guys find the time to rewrite it. I've given up on it as my primary browser as from this day.

I'd offer tips but I don't know what your problem is. Is your "inside" stuff using non standard authentication mechanisms? Our intranet has tons of different authentication mechanisms (LDAP, basic, cookie, session, etc..) and I've never had a problem with FireFox.

Are you talking about NTLM or Active Directory? I've read about work on both NTLM functionality (IIRC, built-in in recent releases) and Kerberos functionality (went into mozilla 1.7, don't know about FF). Of course, then there are issues interoperating between MS kerberos and standard kerberos; here's hoping that you can at least to basic authentication.

Opera is awesome! I love it! The best out there and the Suite of features is awesome!

I can even use Opera IRC to chat with other IM protocols by using public servers of BitlBee.

The keyboard shortcuts, mouse gestures, etc….. wow!

...but apparently Shawn Morrissey didn't "exhale". :-) I wonder if someone solved his authentication issue, if he would switch to Firefox entirely....
