PortalPlayer to support Windows SideShow
PortalPlayer made an announcement stating that they will support the Windows SideShow platfrom using their Preface Personal Media Display Technology. It is exciting to see the first hardware solutions entering the market - this will be one of the hardware solutions available for manufacturers and OEMs providing solutions for Windows SideShow. Support from their dual core ARM7 presents interesting scenarios for detachable devices that support both Windows SideShow functionality and audio playback. PortalPlayer's announcements points to both reference borads as well as quantity pricing.
