&lt;p&gt;We don't have exact data on the server-side performance. As mentioned in the post, performance is an area we continue to work on. When we release the server side assembly under a production license, then we will think about scaling to scenarios like the one you mentioned.&lt;/p&gt;

Specifying the binding and endpoint in code was not necessary with Beta 1.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://silverlight.net/forums/p/17701/60213.aspx#60213"&gt;http://silverlight.net/forums/p/17701/60213.aspx#60213&lt;/a&gt; and comment. There seems to be an issue with standard ASMX WebServices and the new ServiceReference.clientConfig file that is generated.&lt;/p&gt;
