I'm (since a long time) a Borland Delphi user and I/O, loadables modules and user interfaces are here with a beautiful object Model and NO GARBAGE COLLECTION, so it didn't seem so impossible (And i don't think borland was the only ones to do that)

BTW, I've just downloaded VC++ 2005 Beta 1 Express (whatta name ;) ) and can't find STL.NET, or whatever it is called. Is it included in the "non-express" distribution?

sorry. i know it must be disappointing, but STL.NET is not a part of the beta 1 release. I will be writing up a series of articles on STL/STL.NET beginning no later than august -- online at msdn, i believe.
