No posts since September 9th? Where the heck has Steve been?

What if I told you that I have been working on a project to provide Vitrual PC demo images, scripts, powerpoint decks and installable demos to Certified and Gold Certified Partners?

What if I told you that it included demo content for Office 2003, Windows Server 2003, Group Policy, Microsoft CRM, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Exchange Server 2003, SharePoint Portal Server, Live Communication Server and more?

Would something like that be of interest to you?

Would you use it?

Would you pay for it? How much?

Weigh in now! Comment on this post with your thoughts!

Would something like that be of interest to you? ABSOLUTELY

Would you use it? Frequently. Especially Sharepoint, LCS, CRM. Would also use Great Plains, Project Server.

I have my own VM's for these, but without scripting/sample data other than is given in the product itself. It would be nice to have it all tied together for any products. Not to mention having some evening/weekends free that I have to use now to build and maintain these.

This would be fantabulous!! So many times I have had to show my clients our own systems to show them the power and capabilities of these packages.

Maybe, not a definate yes but not a definate no.

+ Would you use it?

Yes, depending on the content & whether or not it was relevant.

+ Would you pay for it? How much?
Nada, Zip, Nothing. This assists selling product, not services. If it helps a client see a solution with using product MS*.* instead of *.*, its really only helping MS make money (and a trivial amount in markup).

You bet I would.

Would I pay for it? I know how long it takes to set these things up, so I have an apprciation for the work that is involved. On the other hand, I do not hold the purse stings, so I doubt I could pay much for them.

We are a Certified Partner and would definitely be interested in this. We have been evaluating Virtual Server for quite some time now and any "inside" tips and tools would be most welcome.

Thanks!
