Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 – How to get it in NZ

We have released the code for Beta 2 on MSDN Subscriber Downloads. ISO images for these products are available:

  • Visual SourceSafe
  • Visual Studio 2005 Standard
  • Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition Test Load Agent
  • Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server
  • Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite

If you don’t have an MSDN Universal subscription – then go get one so you can get these updates and be upgraded for free to a Team System Edition when they are released.

 

Get a CD Mailed Out:
I will put in place a mechanism to mail out DVD’s to people based in New Zealand. I will have a post up on how this will be done within the next two weeks. I’d suggest that this will be a quick way to get the ‘bits’ without downloading ISO’s and having to burn them yourself.

 

How Do I build It?
Once you have the ‘bits’ follow this updated Install document for Team Foundation Server. I should warn you that it mentions a new CTP of SQL 2005 that’s not quite available yet so wait another week or so for that update as well.
