Windows Azure: Overview and Impressions from a Google employee

I like this talk from Ryan Barrett (who actually works for Google).  It is interesting to see how he compares Microsoft's cloud offering to that of the competition.  He also describes the Azure Fabric in detail.  What do you think?  Is he accurate?  Have you tried out Azure yet?  I am in the midst of working with the SDK in detail (first played around at PDC08) now.  I will be presenting on Azure frequently in 2009 and am, of course, particularly interested in SQL Services, as it evolves.

I think Azure is a scary product for non-developers, such as system, network, and database administrators.   Once managers realize the efficiency of the concept, the need for those skills in the local environment will disappear.
