&lt;p&gt;In 4-a-1 add the host header name. For example RetailPortal&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;in 4-a-2 Add the NLB url fpr example &lt;a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://epaxsp"&gt;http://epaxsp&lt;/a&gt; . After this step testand make sure that the named resolves properly.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In 5-i &amp;nbsp;Ran EP deployment on all servers in the farm other than the farmadmin machine and &amp;nbsp;uncheck configure SharePoint and uncheck create website options.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;in 5-ii Ran the EP deployment on the WSS admin web server checked configure Sharepoint and uncheck Create website.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then add the registry on each webserver HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\MSV1_0/BackConnectionHostNames as a multi string value and added&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- servername&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- servername FQDN (Fully qualified Domain name)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- NLB name FQDN&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- Headername (RetailPortal)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then open Sharepoint Admin site and create site collection with the custom template for Enterprise Portal.&lt;/p&gt;
