MELE KALIKIMAKA!!!

Well, things have been very busy ( too busy to finish the Kerberos series for now ) but Merry Christmas!

I have been on vacation the last few weeks - took the family down to Disneyland for Christmas – talk about a serious production, they certainly know how to put on a show.

I grew up in Hawaii – so I never really got to do many “road trips” ( about 3.5 hours around the Big Island ) .

I decided we should drive down and see the Redwoods. We had made that same trip a few years ago and it was great fun. However, on the first day travelling I hit a deer about 40 miles outside of Grants Pass.

Gah.. what a way to start the trip. After a tow ( thank God we had cell phone coverage ) and a rental car we were on our way. I just found out that they are going to fix it , so I guess Ill be driving back down there soon..

The rest of the trip was great, lines were short ( I never waited for more than 15 min for a ride ) and the Christmas lights and scenery they have up is amazing.

I also got a new Zune2 ( Christmas gift from my management at MS ) thanks! I have an IPod and that was the main reason I had not bought a Zune - but now I must admit, I rarely use the Ipod – and no, it’s no kool-aid induced trip – the Zune really is a better product IMO.

It has a better UI, the Zune software is 100% better than Itunes IMO and I even like the design of the device. I may not be a typical user with 100’s of CD’s, I have a limited amount and don’t buy music online, so your mileage may vary.

Anyway – Ill finish up some posts next year --- Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
