Exchange 12 Beta - with speech technology

Very cool news this week, from the Beta announcement of the next version of Microsoft Exchange:

'Information workers want the freedom to access their inbox regardless of where they may be... Exchange “12” revolutionizes access by offering a speech-enabled unified messaging platform that integrates e-mail, fax and voice mail in the user’s inbox with support for a variety of clients, including traditional and mobile phones.'

Not only significant headway for speech technologies into a mainstream enterprise space, also a strong validation of the 'plain old telephone' as a primary means of information access. Good cheer for all of us in the telephony speech business.

More on Exchange 12 is here.
