# where can I get Speech SDK 6.1 Language Pack

Hello,Plase give me your time to read this

I have developed application on windows 2000 with speech SDK 5.1 and speech SDK 5.1 Language Pack(for Chinese language) and it works well on windows 2000  but when I tried

to install it on windows XP , I found that it has speech SDK 6.1 accompany with XP  and

my application used this 6.1 version but I don't have speech SDK 6.1 Language Pack so my application can not recognize Chinese language , Could you please tell me where can I get Speech SDK 6.1 Language Pack for Chinese language. or How can I make my application recognizable in Chinese language.

PS.With windows XP,my application can speak both English and Chinese  but can recognize

only English. I found in Control Panel -> Speech  that it has Microsoft English recognizer 6.1 and  when I changed it to Microsoft recognizer 5.1 selected , I run my application with error.

So I suppose that my application link to 6.1 version but I don't have language pack in 6.1 version for Chinese language

(but on Windows 2000 I have used 5.1 version and work well)

I have searched for web for a long time but find nothing

Hello Suparswa, your engine would need to implement the interfaces described in the SAPI technical reference at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/SAPI51sr/html/Welcome.asp.

As for building the core engine technology, Microsoft does not provide any tools here, but I believe there are a number of third party offerings that you may find useful, e.g. Festival (from the University of Edinburgh).
