No Bumpy Start for Speech Server

Some people are treating last week's Infoworld article about Microsoft Speech Server as bad news, but I disagree. The article quotes one company, Pronexus, as having been over-optimistic in its predictions for MSS sales, but oh-by-the-way is still bullish. And the only criticism they could drag out of Intervoice is that we targeted the wrong market. Inside the speech group, we are all very happy with the way MSS is going, particularly given that you couldn't actually get your hands on a release version until last Summer (not a year ago, as the article implies). We hear about new customers every day, and we're proud that we're the fastest-selling new telephony speech product in history.
