We're in Romania

Let’s see, it’s Sunday, so this must be Romania. Fil and I are here with Julia MacLaughlan (another GM from our division) to meet with some people from the local subsidiary. Here’s Fil with Ovidiu Artopolescu, General Manager of Microsoft Romania.

The people from MS-Romania have been wonderful, giving us a tour of the countryside, including this monastery in Sinaia, a small resort town two hours north of Bucharest. Tomorrow we’ve got tons of meetings with people from the subsidiary as well as customers and Microsoft partners. Romanians are huge MSDN users, so I expect we'll be asked about SAPI and our plans for Windows Vista. Too bad Robert Brown couldn't be here, but he's at PDC this week.
