Romanian Parliament

One of the people I met in Bucharest was Mr. Varujan Pambuccian, a member of the Chamber of Deputies, and president of the IT&C Commission in the Romanian Parliament. He is a big believer in Romanian software development, and he personally seems quite interested and proficient in computers. When my demo of an early version of Windows Vista ran into trouble, he had no trouble hopping into the registry editor with me to fix things. Don't get him too worked up over any subject, particularly related to software or anything else he is passionate about: he'll keep talking and talking until you start agreeing with him. If he's that persuasive in English, I wonder what he's like in Romanian! While we were in his office, a friend of his stopped by. Varujan Vosganian is a senator, also very interested in software. I didn't get to speak with him much, but he sounds like an interesting guy and I hope I'll be able to meet him again. He introduced himself as a president of a poet's association
