OpenOffice Bloat

Slashdot pointed to something last Fall that showed how Office 2003 has way better performance than OpenOffice, so of course everyone chimed in to explain how the test wasn't fair, how that's not how you really evaluate Windows performance, the Evil Empire must have manipulated the results, etc.

Well now the study's author has redone the test to be far more accurate. The conclusion: OpenOffice is up to 10 times slower than Office 2003 on just about everything.

George Ou unbiased? Give me a break...... "the study´s author" must have been in close talks with MSFT spinmeinsters to come up with his gigantic bloated spreadsheet file that is totally unrealistic for everyday work. George is hard at work at Ziff Gates defending Microsoft´s products and slamming every non-Microsoft alternative every week. I bet he makes his puppet masters at Redmond very happy.
