Speech Server 2007

The Speech Server team today announced the next version, Microsoft Speech Server 2007, with a Beta available next month.

There are two big pieces of news: native support for VOIP (very cool!), and lots more development options, including .Net and VoiceXML. We're also joining the VoiceXML Forum.

My team did a lot of the core work on this new release (code-named "Skagit").  We're especially proud of the improvements in reco accuracy that you'll see.

Great to see. This can only bring new levels of adoption and validation to the speech industry. I hope this signals that Microsoft will become even more engaged with speech community's efforts to define standards.

Congratulations to all of the team.

I'm waiting anxiously to read what you have to say about 2007.

Excellent news!  Will this version support ASP.Net 2.0?
