Inevitable Surprises
I wrote the details on my personal blog, but I recently read the 2003 book, Inevitable Surprises, by Peter Schwartz. I like predictions about the future, but this one is particularly interesting because the Peter Schwartz approach focuses on areas of future prediction that aren’t really predictions at all. Some things, like demographic changes, are inevitable.
Anyway, readers of this blog may be interested in a statement on p.168:
“In the near future, speech recognition will become commonplace”
No surprise there.
