What's wrong with minivans?

Ken, lead tech writer for Speech Server, shakes his head at the recent controversy among some MSS people over whether real men can own minivans.

Hey, I'm way past this and I love my new Honda Odyssey.  I sold my 7-year-old Ford Windstar last week and couldn't be happier.

Hmmm, does that mean I'm not a real man?

No.  it just means your a smart man that doesn't care what other people think.  It's a fact that minivans are the most versitile vehicle.  What other vehicle that can cary 32 sheets of 4x8 drywall (1600+ pounds) enclosed, can tow thousands of pounds, or can cary 7 people in surprising comfort?  And for the same price?

Yes it does.

I'm a Microsoft Consultant and Proud Dad that also drives a minivan. But I secretly wish that my minivan will be featured on "Overhauling" or "Pimp My Ride".

I mean how cool would it be if the minivan  was also a "Wireless Mobile Command Center with Xbox 360 Satellite TV & TiVo” ????

I sold my 7 year old Windstar in early May and got a 2006 Toyota Sienna.

I love it. I guess there is a lot of us non real men running around.

Hey, doesn't Ken use a pink bowling ball?
# Ken said on July 14, 2006 1:07 PM:
That was a house ball, Marshall. My personal ball is a black 1998 Zone with orange inserts, drilled with an extreme fingertip grip for maximum rotation.

I'm not at all a "car guy" -- I just like something that gets me from Point A to Point B with as little
