My Tablet and speech

Eric Yu sent an email asking me about the type of microphone setup I use on my Toshiba Tablet M200.

I have posted previously about how to use speech on a tablet (type "Tablet mic" in the search box on my blog main page), but in brief, I don't do anything special.  Unfortunately Vista doesn't include full support for array microphones, so the reco I do on my Tablet is just using the plain old built-in microphone.

It's still amazingly good, even though the system isn't taking advantage of the extra info you get from having an array microphone.
