We are running our PHP mostly on OS X servers, but still use SQL Server for many of our databases. Would I be able to use this on OS X? Would it be possible to take the source code and create an OS X version?

The Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Driver for PHP relies on the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 ODBC Driver, which is only available on Windows.

You could still use the source code from our driver to create a driver that would work for OS X. It's non-trivial work, but it is possible.

First, you would need to find an ODBC driver manager for OS X, and a compatible ODBC driver designed to talk to SQL Server. Once you have those components, you could modify our driver's source to call out to those components.
