Microsoft is Top R&D Spender

Microsoft is currently #1 at $6.584 billion.  The next closest competitor in the software business is Oracle at $1.872 billion.  Google doubled it's R&D spending in 2006 to $1.23 billion, but still below the average in terms of %-age of revenue.

And why does Microsoft appear again at #9?  I have no idea.  I think they meant Google.
