James Akrigg has mentioned this a few times on our recent EVO roadshow and I was sent a link to an article in CIO magazine about it. One of my favourite records labels, Hed Kandi, has released their new website all built on Office SharePoint Server 2007 (aka MOSS 2007) with the help of Microsoft partner cScape. Pretty cool stuff for a product that has previsouly been perceived as an intranet only type product.

"I looked at other platforms but found they were not as straightforward and missed some essential features"

This fits neatly with another in teresting post a read recently from Microsoft Watch who suggested the most important release of the year wasn't Vista but of Office itself but Sharepoint Server. I'm not sure I totally agree as Vista is pretty important but it's impressive to see where Sharepoint has come from and to. I worked on it back in the early days when it was called Tahoe and acutally tried to sell it to Mr Akrigg as a customer. Weird how things turn out :)
