New York Times - their subtitle, not mine :)

The article discusses the forthcoming Windows Live releases and they chat with Brian Hall who I'm meeting up with on Wednesday. Any questions you want me to put to him? :)

Markoff also references the 1990's Netscape era and draws comparisons. I've been drawing my own comparisons to that internally recently and I think it's more like the Internet Tidal Wave memo. Perhaps not as dramatic but make no mistake, there are some profound changes afoot. Here is how Ray Ozzie explained it during the Financial Analyst Meeting:

"this transformation from software to software plus services, is a very, very big deal for our company. It'll be a very critical aspect of all of our offerings over the next few years."

I can tell the interest level is on the up due to press calls I've had over the last week and the amount of slide decks, whitepapers and emails I have on my PC about this. Exciting times.
