Engadget's Bill Gates exit interview
I rarely read things on the web in one go these days as I'm constantly twitching from one app to the next but I read this interview with BillG in one go. It was compelling - Ryan asks good questions and has a good rapport with Bill.
The sentimental side of me enjoys hearing Bill talk about Apple and Steve Jobs specifically. It's easy to pit these two against each other but the reality is they're both fantastic in their own way and clearly have a lot of respect for each other.
I kind of get the impression that a few years ago it would have been tough to hear Bill say the following about Steve Jobs. I sense a more mellow Bill as he reaches the end of his tenure which actually shows more of the real man I think
I am very sincere that Steve has unique skills that I just don't have at all and it's been phenomenal to see how he has been able to make a difference with what he's done
It may not be the cool thing to say but I love working at this place and a lot it is down to Bill. I'm proud to have worked for Microsoft under his leadership.
