I attended NESTA’s Innovation Edge this morning – sadly I couldn’t stick around for afternoon session but during the morning Bob Geldof stole the show – as you would expect. He was their “star turn” even though Gordon Brown (Prime Minister) was on after lunch he would have to announced tax cuts to upstage Bob. I was prepared to be impressed by Sir Bob but he blew me away. So passionate, so articulate, so irreverent, so funny, so committed. He followed Tim Berners Lee who was good (despite lacklustre interview technique by Jonathan Freedland) and constantly referred to Tim and his work.

I sincerely hope NESTA puts the video up of this talk. They’d be mad not to.
