Okay….they’re….different :)
I found the ad amusing, but what is utterly baffling is how the big tag line at the end says "Browse Better" and http://browsebetter.com/ takes you to a cheap Firefox download page as does a search for "browse better" in Bing.
It took me a few goes to realise it is "browser for the better" which google found first time and bing didn't find at all.
Perhaps it's because I am using Bing with UK settings? Still feels like a bit of an own goal to me...
I like it. I think Microsoft should use a lot more humour in adverts -otherwise it just becomes a feature war.
People like Apple and Google because they are hip, Microsoft should pile on the laughs and show it is hip too.
Different and ... creepy.
IE8 is fine, once it starts, but the accelerator thing isn't really rocking my boat one bit.
Hi, this is Feran with the IE Outreach Team. Visit the Browser for the Better sight and you can see some more funny videos warning of different browser-based conditions - http://www.browserforthebetter.com?ocid=ie8_sm_a. Also at the site, if you download IE8, Microsoft will donate the equivalent of 8 meals to Feeding America.
Thanks!
