Steve Cook's WebLog

The book is here!

I saw my first copy of our book on Saturday at the CodeGen 2007 conference in Cambridge - Jos Warmer asked me to sign his copy. It's rather fatter than I expected - runs to 523 pages.  Today I received my own copy.  Addison-Wesley have done a great job for us; it looks and feels really nice.

I tried to order directly from the publisher here in the US. It seems they no longer sell the book. I am wondering what's going on?

Did you try to order it as an ebook?  It is available as such on the Addison-Wesley site.  Amazon are showing it as 23rd May, but not available yet.  Barnes and Noble say June 8th.  Maybe just wait a day or two.

http://www.awprofessional.com/bookstore/product.asp?isbn=0321398203&rl=1

is the url I was talking about.

The page is on longer linked from the coming soon or just released list for whatever reason.

I am never an e-book guy. I often need to fight for three PCs at home with my wife, a 5 and a 2 years old.

I ordered the book from awprofessional.com

Just become a member for free, and get a 30% off.

Shipping works great for me since I live in a state closes to the warehouse, basically 2 days shipping for free.
