Tool for scripting out your SQL Server databases for hosting

Dan from SQL Server has been driving an effort to improve the shared hosting story for web applications that rely on a SQL Server database.  We've all heard the customer complaints “How do I move my SQL Server Express database to GoDaddy?” …..

Well the SQL Server team released the first CTP of a client side tool for scripting out SQL Server Express databases and generating T-SQL that can be run inside hosters control panels.  This is just the first phase of the solution but it gives developers a huge leap forward in solving this problem.

The tool is available on codeplex and there is a wiki that explains the first CTP release http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=sqlhost&title=Database%20Publishing%20Wizard

Dan also has a blog post on the work at http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlserver/archive/2006/10/16/sql-server-hosting-toolkit-launched.aspx
