I meet the "Task is Marked Failed as it had non-zero Fail Counts in the LogFile" fail, Can you help me? and tell me how to resolve about it?

Please try viewing the logfile by right-clicking the failing task and "View Task Log".

Lebing,

Have you tried installing QFE 301 for DTM? The QFE is available here: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/DevTools/WDK/WLK/WLKQFE.mspx.

Also, if you have a memory card reader attached to this system, be sure to add media to all available slots before running this test.

I installed the QFE on constroller PC before start the testing.

1， From WLK1.0c CD

- Installed .NET 2.0

- Installed MS SQL Server Desktop Engine

- Installed DTM Controller

- Installed DTM Tests

2，

- Ran setup.exe and installed DTM Studio

3，WLK\QFEs

- Installed QFE 301 and 304

4，

- Installed DTM Filters following these steps

- Right click updatefilters.cab > Explore

- Extract Readme.txt and updatefilters.sql to local system

- Read the Readme.txt file for instructions on installing DTM filters:

"UpdateFilters.cab can only be used on WLK v1.0c or later. Previous

versions of the WLK may be filtered using FilterUpdates.cab

How to install Errata/Contingency/AutoTriage filters for WLK 1.0c and later:

1. Download UpdateFilters.cab to your DTM Controller

2. Open the ?%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Driver Test Manager\Controller?

directory in Explorer

3. Open the downloaded UpdateFilters.cab file

4. Click and drag UpdateFilters.sql from the cab file to the

Controller directory

5. Run UpdateFilters.exe from the Controller directory

- Followed the above instructions and ran the UpdateFilters.exe tool

from within the Controller directory:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Driver Test Manager\Controller>updatefilters.exe

Applying 'UpdateFilters.sql' Script to localhost...

4352 rows were updated. Success.

But wehter the consoller PC have the media, I don't sure. Because I in Guangzhou the PC in Amrica, usually testing the media be added to PC.

Dear Sir,

I use DTM 1.2 and the issue I met is about errata filter.

I updated UpdateFilters.sql 2008/06/05 and confirm that the errata we needed is expired at 2009/06/01.

But it didn't work and the items still failed after checking "Status" of submission.

The errata works successfully on DTM 1.1 and before.

Is there any method to check if the errata is workable?

Dear Eric,

I use the DTM to test on our product (solely USB speaker). The controller is a WHQL certified IC. However, I find that the device shows error on KS Position test. The IC supplier told me that the problem was solved as an errata ID 182 was raised but they cannot disclose the detail to me. I doubt that as I cannot find any information from the web about this errata ID. Can I still submit the test log with the failed test item in attachment with the errata ID that the supplier told me?

If so, usually how long will it take for the approval?

Hi Raymond,

The KS Position test is not a storage test. So, I may not be able to provide accurate information about that test. You may have to contact DTM support to resolve this issue.
