Lonely Planet POC on Microsoft Surface

Back at Remix Australia we heard about a proof-of-concept demo created by Amnesia Razorfish for Lonely Planet. Those of us outside AU weren't able to see the video. I've managed to get a hold of it from Shane and posted it to the Microsoft Showcase.

You can get the full story on Shane's blog.

Cheers mate!

Nice I like this surface world, just worried it will be out of touch for most people.

If this style interface is added to Multi-touch in Windows 7 please add a button to do this with single touch, since you are only really changing the size and keeping the same ratio multi-touch isn't really being used. You could use a button then single touch drag out and rotate with one hand.

Please add this for the sinlge touch tablets still out on the market.

Also this isn't a great demo for Multi-touch in surface or Windows 7 I would like to see something more based on two or more true interactions while using the device or object interaction. Could two people bring up two or more books.

I often worry about the books I buy for my 12 year old daughter, with no rating system for book like games have you don't know what you are buying. I could see this in a store with a rating app on it.
