Jay,

Can you run through the Windows CE boot procedure. I've download the embedded kit and CE 5.0, ran through a CE build for the emulator.

I'm stuck on creating a boot cd, I'm guessing but CE won't be too happy booting from a MSDOS style floppy emulated CD image!?!

Lemme know.

Hi Milo,

Maybe I'll write a blog on how to do this. It's pretty simple.

1. Get a DOS 6.22 disk. You can find one at www.bootdisk.com. It has CD drivers
2. Create a DOS bootdisk, and in the autoexec.bat, have the last line be:
loadcepc /v /l:800x600x16 r:\nk.bin

/v = verbose
/l = resolution
r:\nk.bin is the name of the Windows CE image you built, put on the CD. I'm assuming that the CD drive is going to be drive R: (it is set earlier in autoexec.bat)

3. Load up Nero, create a Boot CD
4. Set it to read the boot sector from the floppy (put the floppy in the drive)
5. Drag and drop nk.bin over onto the CD.
6. Burn!

This should create a bootable CD! :)
