Keeping a Digital Journal

As you have seen from my previous posts and my journals on my personal website, I am investigating ways exhibiting my paper journals online in conjunction with a live blog-style journal that combines scanned images of my paper journals with video from my LifeCam NX6000.  As I mentioned earlier, I want to display it all in a Silverlight application.  One missing piece of the puzzle is a portable scanning solution for scanning pages out of my book.  I have tried photographing pages but they don't come out clear enough.  I have a scanner at home, but does anyone have any suggestions for color digital scanners that could be part of my portable toolbook for scanning pages out of my journals?  Have you tried the Planon DocuPen?
