  • Good info on downloading large files

I get asked by customer about how they can learn from the new features in VS.NET 2008 (Orcas). The simple answer is download the VPC and try it out. But the download part is not as easy as it can be. Brian Keller put together a group of recommendations for this: http://blogs.msdn.com/briankel/archive/2007/09/06/a-more-reliable-and-faster-download-experience-for-rosario-vs08-vpc-s.aspx Enjoy !

  • Interesting news during the holidays

Well, I am back after some holidays and it is nice to encounter some important developments happened. First of all, Ent Lib 3.0 is released: http://blogs.msdn.com/tomholl/archive/2007/04/05/just-released-enterprise-library-3-0-april-2007.aspx Since we are making an architecture project using WCF, the integration between Ent Lib 3.0 and WCF is a blessing. Second, there is the first community drop of the new Service Factory: http://blogs.msdn.com/donsmith/archive/2007/04/06/first-service-factory-v3-community-drop.aspx
