BlobCache Demystified

Just read Stefan's post on blob caching. Very interesting to know that it's not a publishing only feature. Other site types like team sites can also use it. This can help to squeeze out some extra perf benefit from these site types.

SharePoint Designer doesn't change Site Setting Page

Pages in the _layouts directory are not affected by changes done to Master Pages using SharePoint Designer. Sharepoint runtime always pick up things from _layouts directory for url's pointing to "_layouts" directory . 1. Try changing the background color
