The Little Wheel Goes in Back

Musings on simulated things, now being of the large and extremely heavy variety.
Fast Forward
...and then I woke up and it was August! How did that happen? Actually I think it has to do with being very busy. It's definitely put the blogging on the back burner but decided to kill some time waiting for the Flight Simulato X demo to finish downloading. Or was it the beta? I never know--it's so confusing.

Actually it's all the hub-bub that made want to write. It's quite funny watching people's reactions to the near simultaneous release of the first-even Flight Simulator trial demo and the first-ever public beta. The universe of those who care seem to be divided into two camps: the "Yeah, baby! This is awesome! Bring it on!" camp and the "This is reprehesible! How dare they?!" camp. Perhaps the second group missed the point that we could have chosen to do neither and then everyone would have to wait until October. They might also be the same people who always stand in line to purchase concert tickets to avoid forking over $5 to Ticketmaster to purchase from the convenience of their living room/bathrobe. Me? Five bucks is a bargain to save even 10 minutes of my life waiting. (Besides, I try to accomplish as much as I can in my bathrobe.) Regardless, the first group is the one I want to hang with--they sound like a lot more fun. They are probably the dreamers who have speculated on line what their first flight in the new version will be. You go!
