Upgrading from RC to RTM
In my earlier post on upgradeing from Beta 3 Refresh, I noted that upgrading from the RC to RTM would hopefully not require a database upgrade. However, we have taken a change since RC that will require the databases to be upgraded. The process for upgrading from RC to RTM will roughly be:
- Uninstall RC
- Run TfsUpgradeRTM.exe
- Install RTM.
- Upload Reports.
While this is more complex than we had hoped, it should still be simpler than the upgrade from Beta 3 Refresh to RC has been, especially for dual server configurations.
