Hello world

So I have finally gotten the guts to finally cross the line into the real-world blogging.  In fact, this is one of my (Chinese) New Year Resolutions.  I do hope to provide some impact to the software QA world, no matter how small it may be.  At the same time, this blog will also serve as a nice little note on ideas, thoughts, and rants.

A little note about myself -- I'm currently working at Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer in Test (aka SDET) in Windows Live platform group.  If you are curious as to what an SDET is, check it out on MS career page or better yet, check out Alan Page's definition.  Prior to this, I was breaking things on the other side of Lake Washington at Amazon.com as a Quality Assurance Manager in charge of testing for the Associates program, Search Engine Optimization, among others.

My passion has always been on software quality and web services.  I have a short attention span, and I can't deal with shrink-wrap software and its excruciating long development cycles.  I love it when code is constantly on the move out to the hands of users as soon as it's done.  This just make it much more fun (and many times followed by agony).  Oh well... no pain no gain.

As a last note, I'm really looking forward to make this blog one of my learning tools.  Please do comment or give feedback.

Once again...Hello World!
