I'm Live

This is a sequel to my previous post, on the new initiative from the Windows Live Group (which I had been working for up until last Wednesday 3/21 that we are splitting up to become the new Search and Ad Platform).  It's the "i'm" campaign.  Although I prefer to call it "i'm live" since the URL is https://im.live.com.  I think these campaigns are a big win for both the users (you) and the communities around the world.

So, what the heck is i'm anyway?

Short version -- use Live Messenger to start a conversation, with special "text code", MS will donate to the charitable organization of your choice on your behalf.

Long version -- i’m is a new initiative from Windows Live™ Messenger. Every time you
start a conversation using i’m, Microsoft shares a portion of the
program's advertising revenue with some of the world's most effective
organizations dedicated to social causes. We've set no cap on the
amount we'll donate to each organization. The sky's the limit.  So
any time you have an i’m™ conversation using Windows Live Messenger,
you help address the issues you feel most passionate about, including
poverty, child protection, disease, and environmental degradation. It's
simple. All you have to do is join and start an instant messaging
conversation. We'll handle the donation.

It's all free.  If you already have Live Messenger version 8.1, then all you need is simply punch in the special text code, and you are done.  IM your friends and help save the world.  Oh, and help pass the words along.
