NYTimes launches Times Reader Beta program

The Times Reader Beta is out! You can get it here. Wired wrote an article reviewing it as did Slate. One of my favorite features of the Reader and, certainly the simplest, is being able to navigate to the next page instantly without that 1-2 second wait thanks to all the articles being cached locally in the background.

Does the WPF text engine contain a full OpenType implementation? Or the next version will?

WPF supports a large collection of the OpenType features available including standard, discretionary, contextual ligatures, swashes, and historical forms.
