First Moonlight Release - Miguel de Icaza

Published 16 May 08 02:28 PM

Here is some great news, the first release of Moonlight to the public. Just to ensure that I dont elevate expectations at this point, this is just a source code release, and not a full and final release and Miguel mentions on his blog. But if you are a Linux user and want to be able to experience some cools experiences through SilverLight, then give it a try. Why would you want to experience Silverlight? As I said on my last post, you could try Popfly Game Creator :-).

Hi Chris,

Its not meant to be anything complex, but essentially you move the characted with the arrow keys up, down, left, right, and space bar to fire.

Once you have blown up the three stationary characters then thats it.

Like I said extremely simple and non-complex, but I was impressed at how little effort it took to get that up and running, perhaps if I have some more time I will look at adding some features. Suffice to say, I think Halo, World of Warcraft and Metal Gear Solid are safe from my competition for now :-).
