Rob's bio
My name is Rob Atkinson, a Program Manager for WorkSmart MSIT, Microsoft Ireland, education and productivity. I spend most of my time training and evangelizing on Microsoft's stack, or suite of products. I've spent a fair amount of time on the road in Ireland working with Microsoft Partners as a Partner Technical Specialist, length and breadth of the emerald isle. More recently I have been providing internal training to staff during our mass migration to Windows Vista, now Windows7 and Office 2007 Enterprise
My main focus is learning new products and relating those to others in tangible and practical ways - I try to rid myself of my geek like armor. I develop training materials, write blog articles, knock up videos and podcasts etc. So you will be seeing a lot more practical tips and tricks on the Office platform from me. Words are great but a good video can speak a thousand words!
When I am not working in the tech-world I like to take to the skies and fly around the southern mountains not far from New Ross, Ireland. I do about twenty miles a week cross-country running, which gives me time to think about new ideas and work off the weeks commute. That's if my family gives me some spare time!
