VB05 Express Installation Problem
When you installed VB 2005 express and you encountered this error message: "The Application Data folder for Visual Basic Express could not be created.", what should you do?
Here are some solutions:
1. Before you install VB 2005 Express, make sure any previous version VS has been uninstalled. Find out more details on this article: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa718704.aspx
2. Download and install the Service pack for Visual Studio Express Edition from here.
3. Make sure you are installing on the correct OS: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=928957
4. You can also check your default project location.
Under Tools > options > projects & solution, check whether you have the relevant permissions on the folder path.
