Hotfixes now available for download directly from the web for Visual Studio and .NET Framework

So recently we started to make some changes that allow cusotmers to download hotfixes directly. Before this, when a problem was listed in an article, you had to call Microsoft Support and have them send you the fix. That is all changing now.

For some hotfixes, you can download them directly off the article.
Visual Studio and .NET Framework Hotfix Public Availability Program is what makes this all possible.  This is where all of the fixes are put.  If you look at that page, it lists all of the available fixes that you can download.  But the really nice thing is that if you find a fix yourself, you will see something like (This is for 942027):

RESOLUTION

Download information

The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:
DownloadDownload the 324862_intl_i386_zip.exe package or the 324863_intl_x64_zip.exe package or the 324864_intl_ia64_zip.exe package now.
Release Date: 9/25/2007

This is using this process.  So just clicking on that link will allow you to get the fix.  Don't have to call Microsoft, talk to anyone, or wait another minute!
