Technical Overview of the Next Release of Microsoft SQL Server : SQL Server 2008, code name "Katmai"
In this session we will provide an overview of the next release of SQL Server, SQL Server 2008, code named "Katmai". The session will cover the core value-proposition, major themes and scenarios, and the specific engine improvements, including the new Management Framework, data types (spatial,…), new Reporting Engine, FileStream, etc. We also cover the new development processes being used to build this release, the release timeline and the disclosure calendar.
