Terry Zink's Anti-spam Blog

Protecting your mail from the scum of the internet
I haven't disappeared
I've just been busy with a bunch of stuff over the past two weeks.  I plan to resume to normal blogging in the near term.

Oh, you're back?  Spammers must be running scared.  That's why only a few dozen spams arrived during the last few hours.

Where were you last night, when two ISPs bounced reports of spams that they sent.  In one case they detected that their spam was spam, so they bounced the report, and of course continued pumping out their spams.  In the other case they detected that their spam reached one of my accounts at my ISP, so they bounced the report, and of course continued pumping out their spams.  All I could do after that was report to ARIN (both of these spam-only operations are in the ARIN area) that the operators registered fake contact addresses for abuse reports, they actually bounce reports that are sent to those addresses.  I wish I could maintain a blacklist so that kind of operator would never get off the blacklist.
